Each of our30 Tuition Centres in Scotland is owned and run by a qualified teacher and we tutor children from Primary 1 in the core subjects of English and Maths right up to Higher Grade level.
Each teacher works with a small number of students up to a maximum of 4/5 per 80 minute session depending on the subject and level so, as centres and student numbers grow, we are always looking for qualified and experienced teachers, especially in Maths and English to join our team of tutors. Many of our tutors also work during the day in mainstream schools but tutor for Kip McGrath in the evenings/weekends to supplement their income.
Full training is provided on Kip McGrath resources and you need bring nothing except your fantastic teaching skills and experience. We will provide the rest. You need to be an experienced teacher, member of the General teaching Council and if not already in possession of a full disclosure certificate, be prepared to submit to a full PVG Scheme Disclosure.
However, being a qualified teacher is not enough to tutor at Kip McGrath. Whilst we set ourselves apart from other national tuition centres in that all of our tutors are qualified teachers and not "instructors", we aim to employ qualified teachers who are inspirational, love what they do and are "fantastic tutors" who can make a real difference to every child's education.
